“If music be the food of love, play on”

William Shakespeare

The Ensemble

The Ensemble of Suono Sacro was founded within the project Assisi Suono Sacro, of which it is the main issue. It deals with the dimension of the sacred and the spiritual in music of our time, with a large picture style which includes the classical repertoire alongside the contemporary and improvised music. Composed and founded by flautist Andrea Ceccomori , who is artistic and musical director , he uses an instrumental ensemble and selected guests made up of musicians and composers.
Andrea Ceccomori is a highly versatile flutist. Through his artistic career he has performed all over the world, offering excellent rendering of the great classic repertoire besides many first performances of contemporary composers’ themes and musical improvisations as expressive form: the logical upshot of an artistic progress that has begun from a research into every expressive capacity of the flute (sacred instrument par excellence) is one of the primary institutes of the Association. Beside the sounds of his extensive repertoire he has put the whole of the suggestions of contemporary, ethnic, jazz and electronic music. He can obtain every kind of sound from his instrument: this is possible just thanks to an extremely in-depth knowledge of technique and a great skilfulness in improvisation.
